Adult Day Center
The Adult Day Center, a non-profit organization committed to providing extraordinary day care services for the elderly and disabled residents of Somerset County, and support for caregiving families, has announced that Flemington Car & Truck Country Owner and Somerset Patriots Chairman Steve Kalafer will be honored at its Generations Gala on Thursday, June 8th at Trump National Golf Club.
Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County
The mission of Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County (LVSC) is to promote literacy throughout the community by providing student-centered tutoring and literacy programs for adults so that they may function more effectively in their daily lives. Our mission is founded on the belief that the ability to read and communicate in English is imperative to leading a productive life, and is essential for the protection of individual freedom and equality of all people.
Somerset County Business Partnership
The Somerset County Business Partnership is a Chamber of Commerce serving the businesses and residents of Somerset County. Our history as a Chamber goes back to 1919. In 2002, our Chamber merged with two other countywide business organizations to create the Somerset County Business Partnership, giving the Somerset County a single voice to represent their interests.
United Way of Somerset County
United Way represents the growing number of individuals and families who are working, but are unable to afford the basic necessities of housing, food, child care, health care, and transportation.
Together 4 Kids
Together with thier supporters, Tigether4kids is helping improve the lives of children in need by exposing them to new and unique experiences. By doing this the organization hopes to inspire and add value to their lives, making a positive impact on their future.
Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund
Hurricane Sandy brought unthinkable devastation to parts of our Garden State, destroying homes, businesses and some of New Jersey's most identifiable icons. On Friday, November 2, the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund Inc., (HSNJRF) was started to help New Jersey families, communities and businesses rebuild and recover. The Relief Fund is a registerd 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, chaired by First Lady Mary Pat Christie.
The members of PBA 174 take an active role in the community. Each year we raise money for the NJ Special Olympics by participating in the Annual Torch Run. We also assist in setting up funds for those in need and less fortunate. In addition we support scholarship funds.
